About the Conference
In line with the vision of our Hon’ble Prime Minister on “Skill India ”, PMAI has taken a lead in Conducting Skill development workshops for Young Engineers/ Senior Technicians who are directly connected at shop floor level with operation and maintenance of the Pellet Plants. We have conducted four such workshops at pellet plants in previous years at Bhubaneswar (with IMMT -CSIR Lab), Barbil (with JSPL), Raipur (With Sarda Energy Ltd ) and Hospet-Karnataka (with MSPL Ltd ) .
This year PMAI is organising a workshop on 15-16 December, 2023 in Barbil (Odisha), which is considered as the hub of Pellet making, in association with two pellet plants Arya Iron & Steel company and Ardent Steel Ltd. The workshop is likely to be attended by nearly 100 technicians and young engineers from all our 27 pellet plants across India.
Lectures/Sessions are being organised from top Industry experts with long experience in running pellet plants along with equipment suppliers. A visit to the AISCO pellet plant is also included in the two-dayprogramme. In view of the thrust by Ministry of Steel on Decarbonisation in order to reduce the ‘Carbon Footprint’ in Pellets industry, special lectures will be delivered on this topic. This will be very useful as it would sensitise the participants at operational levels about the need for measures to reduce carbon emission.
