Mr. Aameir Alihussain is the eldest son of the Chairman of the company and was born in 1975. He joined the family business in 2001 and aims to set high industry standards for the performance of the company. He is active in the day to day operation of the company as the Managing Director. He is introducing modern management practices in the company and instilling a team spirit to excel in the industry. He graduated in Economics from McGill University, Canada and did his MBA from LUMS University. Ensuring quality and focusing on customers’ satisfaction are his top priorities.

Manwar Hossain
Managing Director - Anwar Ispat Ltd., Chairman - BSMA, Bangladesh

As Group Managing Director, Mr. Manwar Hossain leads Anwar Group of Industries, a conglomerate with a 180 years legacy. Largely shaped by his father, the legendary business philanthropist, Al-Hajj Anwar Hossain, Anwar Group is now recognized and the ‘Dun and Bradstreet’ awarded most Diversified Business Conglomerate in Bangladesh.

Mr. Manwar Hossain began his business career in the Group in 1994 after completing his BBA and MBA from University of New Hampshire, USA. Apart from the Anwar Group of Industries, Mr. Manwar Hossain is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Modhumoti Bank Limited. Mr. Hossain is also a Director of City General Insurance Company Limited, BD Finance Securities Limited, BD Finance Capital Holdings Limited. He is also the Chairman of Bangladesh Finance & Investment Company Limited, a former Director of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited and Vice Chairman of City Bank Limited.

Mr. Manwar Hossain has played a vital role as a Director of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI). He leads the steel and cement sectors of Bangladesh as the President of the ‘Bangladesh Steel Manufacturers of Association (BSMA)’ and Senior Vice President of ‘Bangladesh Cement Manufacturers Association (BCMA)’.

Sanjoy Ghosh
Head of Supply Chain, BSRM, Bangladesh

Mr. Sanjoy Kumar Ghosh has been working in BSRM for last 14 years. He is now leading the Supply Chain department of BSRM Group. Before heading the department, he worked in different areas of supply chain like logistics, distribution, procurement and so on. He has completed his Master of Social Science in Economics and did his MBA in Finance.

He is throughout a professional person and value driven. Sanjoy is the youngest supply chain head among all leading industries in Bangladesh. With his positive mind set and risk taking abilities, he can help the entire industry to step forward and overcome all challenges in line with the growing demand of steel in coming years.

Manish Kharbanda
Group Advisor - New Mines Development, JSPL & President, PMAI, India
Mr. Manish Kharbanda, is the current Advisor for Corporate Affairs, Legal, CSR & New Mines Development and has been the Executive Director, Head of Corporate Affairs, CSR, Environment, Sustainability and HSE Functions at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. since October 4, 2017. Mr. Kharbanda is also the president of Pellet Manufacturers’ Association of India. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Mines & Minerals at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. from September 15, 2015 to October 4, 2017. He also served as Head of Human Resources at MTS. He was the Chief Human Resource Officer of Sistema Shyam Tele Services Limited. He holds MBA in Human Resources, M.Sc Geology and LLB.

Zain Nathani
Director, Nathani Group - India

Mr. Zain Nathani is a well-known expert in the Recycling Industry both in India and abroad. Zain has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Virginia, USA. He started his career as a Management Consultant with Bain and Company in New York.

Thereafter, Zain moved back to India to join the family business. He is currently Managing Director of Nathani Group—they are one of the oldest and largest Indian companies involved in the Ferrous Scrap business.

Nathani Group works exclusively with Schnitzer Steel, USA and are the largest scrap supplier in bulk vessels into Bangladesh since the last 3-4 years.

Zain is also the Vice President of the Material Recycling Association of India (MRAI) and Vice- President- Ferrous Board, Bureau of International Recycling (BIR).

Arshdeep Singh
Director, Vital Solutions, Singapore
Arshdeep Singh is a Director at Vital Solutions, a Singapore-based trading company which serves the supply chains globally for the paper and the steel industry via investments in supply chain linkages, financing, offtakes and long term contracts. Prior to this role, Arshdeep was the Global Trading Head for Ferrous commodities at Cargill for over 14 years, where he was instrumental in building their global scrap & metallics business.

Dr. Swaren Bedarkar
General Manager - Projects Metallurgy, Electrotherm, India
Dr. Swaren Bedarkar, PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Bombay, has stints in R&D, Project Design and Commissioning activity of various metallurgical equipment. With over 20 years of professional experience, he provides a unique blend of expertise to Electrotherm in its pursuit of development of new metallurgical processes and equipment. The main areas of interest of Dr. Bedarkar are ironmaking & steelmaking, heat & mass transfer and processing modelling. He has worked extensively on dephosphorization of steel using induction furnace route. He is continuously working on efficient melting of sponge iron in induction furnace steel making. Dr. Bedarkar is also involved in the various activities of Metallurgical Engineering Department of Indus University, Ahmedabad, India.

Kunal Kanti Sarkar

Mr. Sarkar is a qualified engineer having 42 years of working experience in different types of products with a focus on Thermal Engineering. For a decade, he has been leading the thermal solution provider of Wesman Thermal Engineering Processes Pvt Ltd- the leader in India for over 40 years. During this period, he had super headed different development initiatives such as Multi-Fuel burners for all applications; Self Recuperative burner manufacturing in India; Small regenerative Dual Fuel burners for steel re-rollers, forging, heat treatment etc.; Endurating burners manufactured in India. Burners for different special applications.

Satadri Chanda

Satadri Chanda joined Megatherm in 2016 as an Executive Director. Prior to that he completed his Master’s degree in engineering from Virginia Tech, USA and spent 3 years as a strategy consultant in KPMGs Management Consulting Division.
